Interfaces
Whether your building a SOA, EA or using UML for Systems analysis and design, this
is an important concept.
Following on from our previous T&T Abstraction, interfaces are an integral part of
good software engineering. They come in all forms; programmatic (Java, CORBA IDL
etc.), SOA (service descriptions), Web Services (a WSDL definition). These are just
a few forms that they take.
Interfaces separate two concerns, the use of s service and the implementation of
that service...
Join us and watch how we demonstrate traceability in UML, SOA and TOGAF™
Celestial offers a comprehensive and flexible training service directed at the professional development of Enterprise Architects. There are many architecture certification courses available but they only offer entry-level understanding – Celestial will teach students how to think like architects and give them an in-depth understanding which is necessary for them to develop and excel in their profession.
Service Oriented Architecture provides a set of principles for governing the design of a system that must be loosely coupled. It defines the concepts and principles for changing a system to meet realisation goals. Such an architecture, when fulfilled will package functionality as interoperable services. It encapsulates the progressive thinking from a number of disparate architects and developers into a single cohesive system called a SOA infrastructure or Service Oriented platform. This allows different applications to exchange data with one another, traditionally done by EAI frameworks
TOGAF™ 9 provides an Architecture Development Method, Content Framework and Capability Framework that can be used as the basis for creating an organisation's enterprise architecture. It has been built up over several years through open participation and collaboration between leading industry practitioners. In addition, TOGAF™ 9 provides a variety of tools, building blocks and resources that facilitate the process and enable the design and development of enterprise architecture across four domains; Business, Data, Applications and Technology.
Understand the myriad technologies used today to glue together enterprise systems is crucial for any technology decision maker. Through this course, students examine some of the analysis and design techniques being employed by IT architects and designers, the most common standards that should be examined in order to build scaleable and extensible systems, it delves into the world of Sun’s JEE and Microsoft’s .NET, considers the implication of SOA and Web Services, and the nature of Distributed Object Systems including Message Oriented Middleware and their importance to the whole discussion of integrating enterprises systems.
This course provides students with the knowledge needed to use the Java Enterprise Edition (JEE platform) to create robust enterprise applications that align themselves against an enterprise’s architectural designs. The course lays down a number of strategies that can be used for effective strategic and tactical decision making. It introduces systemic qualities (such as scalability and flexibility), JEE technology blueprints and design patterns, and iterative and incremental development. Participants gain an understanding of the strategies needed to create application blueprints of their own that work well when implementing JEE technologies.
The Unified Modelling Language has been the de facto standard language for information exchange amongst software engineers for over 14 years. Many business analyst have found it to be an invaluable tool in the field of representing problem domain requirements and articulating those requirements back to clients. With this rich heritage, UML has now found its way into the IT architecture sphere. Like any other discipline, Architects need a consistent and robust language to communicate their ideas. Many of them are now turning to UML as the basis for gaining an understanding of core modelling concepts and tools that they can readily use.
Our training are courses focus on the enterprise environment, the technologies needed
to bring together disparate systems, the thinking needed to achieve cohesive solutions
in these environments, and the tools and standards that are available to help architects,
designers and analyst do their jobs in such an environment.
We provide classroom training, boot camp training and mentoring for Architects on:
